Dr. Susan Shivers
Dr. Sue Shivers became the new owner of Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in 2005. She earned her DVM from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. Dr. Shivers grew up in central Iowa and practiced for several years at a mixed-animal practice in upstate New York, a small animal clinic in Burlington, and an emergency clinic in the Quad Cities before moving back to Iowa. She is very active in her personal life and enjoys running, riding, and climbing. Dr. Shivers has completed two Ironman competitions with her most recent conquest of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. She keeps up with her young son, two Golden Retrievers and an old-opinionated cat from New York.
Dr. Pam Erdman
Dr. Pam Erdman has been a part of the Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital team since 2012. She earned her BS in Biology and then her DVM from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Dr. Erdman worked at a small-animal practice in Illinois just after graduation and then moved back to Iowa where she practiced in West Des Moines for six years. She has a special interest in internal medicine and surgery. When Dr. Erdman is not at the practice you will find her spending time with family or enjoying one of her hobbies including reading, gardening, and playing the piano. Dr. Erdman and her husband reside in Ankeny with their two young daughters, the family black Lab and cat.
Dr. Ashley Williams
Dr. Ashley Williams joined Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in 2013. She earned her DVM from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After graduation Dr. Williams worked at a small animal practice and animal shelter in West Des Moines. Dr. Williams has a special interest in surgery. She resides in Bondurant with her husband, daughter and Golden Retriever. Ashley enjoys spending time with family, friends, boating and attending Iowa State football games.
Dr. Jessica Noble
Dr. Jessica Noble joined Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in early 2015. Dr. Noble earned her DVM from Iowa State University in 2012. After graduation she took a position in the Quad Cities at a small-animal private practice for two years before taking the opportunity to move back to central Iowa. Dr. Noble has a special interest in small animal medicine but also enjoys surgery. She resides in Polk City with her husband, two children, three dogs and Carson their cat. In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading, spending time outside with family, volunteering for a local Golden Retriever rescue and taking agility classes with her dogs, Bella and Mia.
Dr. Brenda Flaming
Dr. Brenda Flaming joined Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in the spring of 2015. Dr. Flaming graduated from Kansas State University in 1988. She has been practicing for 25 years and really loves veterinary medicine! Her special interests include internal medicine and dermatology. In her spare time she enjoys running and walking with her dogs, gardening and quilting. Dr. Flaming's husband is also a veterinarian (at ISU), and their two children are in college, one is a Hawkeye and one is a Cyclone.
Dr. Judy Brooks
Dr. Judy Brooks earned her DVM from Iowa State University in 1990. She has practiced small animal medicine in Iowa since then. Dr. Brooks enjoys a challenging behavior case as well as nutrition for all stages of life. She is married with two children and two cats. Judy and her family are avid Iowa State fans. You can find them at all home football and basketball games wearing cardinal and gold!
Dr. Kaycee Points
Dr. Kaycee Points joined Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in the summer of 2015. She earned her B.S. in Animal Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and then earned her DVM from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Dr. Points has special interests in dermatology, feline medicine and caring for senior pets. She resides in Des Moines with her husband, four dogs and three cats. Dr. Points enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, camping and attending sporting events - especially Husker football games. (While she loves her Cyclones, she will always be a Husker fan at heart.) Go Big Red!
