Meet the Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital Team

Dr. Susan Shivers

Dr. Sue Shivers came to Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in 2005.  She earned her DVM from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999.  Dr. Shivers grew up in central Iowa and practiced for several years at a mixed-animal practice in upstate New York, a small animal clinic in Burlington and an emergency clinic in the Quad Cities before moving back to central Iowa.  She is very active in her personal life.  She tries to keep up with her husband, son, two Golden Retrievers and an opinionated cat.

 

Dr. Ashley Williams

Dr. Ashley Williams joined Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in 2013. She earned her DVM from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After graduation Dr. Williams worked at a small animal practice and animal shelter in West Des Moines. Dr. Williams has a special interest in surgery and dentistry. She resides in Bondurant with her husband, daughter and Golden Retriever. Ashley enjoys spending time with family, friends, boating and attending Iowa State football games.

Dr. Jessica Noble

Dr. Jessica Noble joined Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in early 2015. Dr. Noble earned her DVM from Iowa State University in 2012. After graduation she took a position in the Quad Cities at a small-animal private practice for two years before taking the opportunity to move back to central Iowa. Dr. Noble has a special interest in small animal medicine but also enjoys surgery. She resides in Polk City with her husband, two children, three dogs and Carson their cat. In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading, spending time outside with family, volunteering for a local Golden Retriever rescue and taking agility classes with her dogs, Bella and Mia.

 

 

 

Dr. Amalia Olson

Dr. Amalia Olson joined Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in November of 2016.  Don’t be confused, you may also hear her referred to as Dr. Amy Olson – that’s just her nickname!  She earned her DVM from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.  After graduation, Dr. Olson worked in Minnesota and is thrilled to now call CCVH home!  While Dr. Olson enjoys all areas of small animal medicine, she has a special interest in working/competition dog sport medicine, feline-friendly practices, and enrichment of the human-animal bond.  She resides in Ames with her husband, dog (Elsa), and cat (Taffeta).  In her free time Amy enjoys reading, hiking with Elsa and horseback riding with her family in Minnesota.

Dr. Casey Rabbe

Dr. Casey Rabbe joined Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in 2016.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and DVM from the University of Minnesota.  Following graduation Dr. Rabbe was a small animal veterinarian in Lakeville, Minnesota and taught veterinary students at Iowa State University.  She has a passion for small animal dentistry, surgery, preventative care and internal medicine.  Dr. Rabbe grew up on a sheep and horse farm.   She was very active showing livestock and horses in 4-H and FFA.  Casey and her family continue to raise and show Palomino Quarter horses.  In her spare time she enjoys riding her horses, camping, cooking and spending time with her family.  She currently resides in Huxley with her husband and their Golden Retriever (Connor) and cat (Tinkerbelle).

Dr. Chelsea Woiwood

Dr. Chelsea Winwood joined Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital at the beginning of 2017. She earned her DVM from Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After graduation, Dr. Woiwood worked at a small animal practice in Gilbert, Iowa. Dr. Woiwood has a special interest in behavior and preventative care.   She resides in Ames with her husband and two dogs.   Chelsea enjoys baking, reading, and running . . . marathons!

 

Dr. Brittany Duellman

Dr. Brittany Duellman joined Creature Comforts Veterinary Hospital in the summer of 2017. She earned her B.S. in Biomedical Science from the University of Wisconsin River Falls and her DVM from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Dr. Duellman has special interests in dentistry, small animal surgery, and internal medicine. She resides in downtown Des Moines with her boyfriend and two dogs, a Lab/Boxer mix and a Norwegian Elkhound. In her free-time, Dr. Duellman enjoys cycling, CrossFit, watching sports (especially the Green Bay Packers), and attending concerts.
